A*M*E

Aminata Kabba, born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, moved to London at the age of eight and grew up

immersed in South East London’s vibrant music scene. At sixteen, she signed her first record and

publishing deal with Universal. Two years later, her single “Need U (100%)” with Duke Dumont spent

two weeks at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and earned a Grammy nomination under her artist name,

A*M*E.

She went on to collaborate across the dance world, working with CamelPhat (“Paradigm”), MK (“My

Love 4 U”), M22 (“White Lies”) and a host of other dance records.

In 2019, she introduced a new chapter of her musical identity, adopting the name KABBA. Since then,

she has released two EPs, each showcasing her evolution as an artist and songwriter. While KABBA

represents her primary artistic identity, she continues to release dance music under the name A*M*E.

Alongside her own artistry, Kabba has played a key role in shaping FLO’s signature sound, contributing

as a songwriter and vocal producer to “Immature,” “Feature Me,” “Summertime,” “Change,” “Walk Like

This” and “On & On,” both of which appear on their record-breaking debut album and earned her a

second Grammy nomination.

Most recently, Kabba co-wrote Zara Larsson’s “Girls Girl” on her Midnight Sum album and has

contributed to records for TWICE, Kelly Rowland, JoJo and others. Versatile and ever-evolving, Kabba

continues to carve out her own space while creating music that bridges multiple genres.
